More Travel Updates

It seems like we've been gone more than we've been home in April and May.  It's been so fun, but also a little stressful and very fattening!  I'm so grateful though that we got to go to Utah last week to see my beautiful niece Kari married in the LDS Temple in Draper.  She is my very first niece to get married and I'm so happy for her and her husband Colton.  It was a quick trip because we had just gotten back from being in San Diego and unfortunately school and work are still required these days.

I had a credit on Southwest that had to be used before it expired in August and so I had the wonderful opportunity to fly with Riley from Oakland to Salt Lake City, while my pour husband and two older daughters (the ones that would have cost money to fly there) drove the long 11 hour drive.  Riley was a perfect angel.
My girls were flowers girls.  It was a little chilly way up on that mountain, but they were good sports for pictures.

This is just from my iPhone.  They didn't have the same "I'm freezing" look in the official pictures!

This is my parents backyard.  The tents were set up for dinner, and dancing.
The reception was so gorgeous.  My older sister is an amazing party planner and she put her heart and soul into her daughter's reception.  Every detail was perfect.  The weather didn't cooperate completely... but at least we had enough good weather to do most of what was planned with only a few minor changes.

This is another niece.. Chaise.. everyone thinks we could be mother/daughter!
One of the best wedding dinners I've ever had...authentic street tacos from a taco cart!  It was a huge hit!

Enjoying said tacos...
For gifts and cards
For pictures and messages to the happy couple.
The father of the bride, my brother in law William (with his father)
The grandpa of the bride, my dad.
The happy couple!  The cake cutting had to be moved inside due to the cold wind, but it was all good!

We didn't get to do much else because we were only there 2 days, but Saturday we took a quick walk around City Creek and Temple Square in Salt Lake City. And then we had to head home so Lance could be at his church meetings on Sunday.  It was a great long weekend!
