Then Monday, all three girls got Valentine's cards in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa Scott, each with $5 inside! Woohoo...score for me! ;). To top it off, Lance brought me home a dozen pink roses. I stayed up late, or should I say early into the morning making peanut butter cookies for Lance as a treat to take to work with him. With each cookie he ate, he had to think about how much I love him. Aaaaahhhh!
Then Valentine's morning, we woke up and had pink hot chocolate, and pink heart pancakes. The girls got their Valentine's treats: a few books, a balloon and a box of Hello Kitty chocolates. We ate breakfast and then Avery was off to her preschool Valentine's party. The rest of the day was piano lessons, errands, play dates and house cleaning.
When Lance got home from work, we had heart shaped pizza and sparkling cider for dinner, followed by molten chocolate cakes for dessert. Then, Lance and I exchanged gifts. I got him..get this...wood badge beads made from oak trees at Gilwell in England (you'd have to know scouting to know what that means). Romantic...no! A show of my genuine love for him because to me they are a weird thing to want but since he did really really want them I got them anyway and had them shipped all the way from England...definitely! He got me a box of my favorite chocolates (these require a separate blog post) and tickets to see "Les Miserables" when it comes to San Francisco this summer. Can't wait for that!
Lastly, we put the kids to bed and well, the rest you don't want to know about, nor do I want to tell you about, but suffice it to say...nice ending to a nice day!
