The Sleeping Beauty

Last Christmas, Lance's parents got us tickets to go see "The Nutcraker" at the Gallo Center in Modesto.  It was put on by the Central West Ballet Theater.  It was fun...for Avery and me, that is!   The night before the show Sophie got sick and was throwing up all night long.  Needless to say, she had to miss the show!  She was very sad so I promised her we'd go see another show and last week we finally went. 

The Moscow Ballet was at the Gallo Center performing "The Sleeping Beauty".  Wow...it was spectacular!  The costumes and sets were stunning and the dancing was flawless.  I'm not kidding, I think the dancer who was the prince jumped 6 feet off the ground!

We all loved it.  Sophie didn't want to leave when it was over even though it was over 2 hours long.  But as it turns out it's a good thing we did leave because apparently there is a ballet/throw up connection in our house.  About 10 minutes from home Avery started throwing up in the car!  Good times!  It all ended up ok (especially because Lance cleaned up the mess in the car, with a shopvac mind you...chunky...enough said!).  

We hope to go see another ballet soon, but next time we will for sure take barf bags with us!
