Challenge

I am doing something that I know is going to be hard just to challenge myself.  I am giving up sweets and diet soda for a month.  It starts today, February 1st. It's not a competition, there's no prize and no punishment...unless you count the feeling of utter defeat and humiliation if I fail.  The only "rules" are no eating anything that is considered a "sweet" and no diet pepsi or diet coke.  I don't drink any other kind of soda so nothing else is really an issue.  I'll still allow myself the occasional hot chocolate and sugar cereals will be great to help me fight off nasty night time cravings.  But no donuts, cupcakes, candy (not even dark chocolate), cookies, pies or anything like them.  For 29 days.  Yes, I chose the shortest month, but I also chose Valentine's month.  Hubby will have to save chocolate's from Maison du Chocolat for next year I guess.  But I can do it. It's really just an exercise in self control. I've done it before (remember Heather?), but it's been a long time. So here goes. Wish me luck and send positive thoughts of healthy fruits and veggies my way!

You can totally do it! Remember, after the first week you stop craving it. So, really, all you have to do is get through that first week and then it is down hill from there!
